Enable district-defined ILLs

You can choose to change from the existing interlibrary loan (ILL) process to the district-defined ILL process by selecting the checkbox.

Note: Once the district-defined ILL process is enabled, you cannot change back.

The district-defined ILL process:

• Directs date calculations for days to ship and days to circulate to the district level rather than the site level.
• Automatically converts existing holds in the system.
• Does not let patrons from the requesting site pick up books/content from the lending site.
• Removes the requesting site's ability to choose the method of delivery. Ship It is the only available method of delivery from the lending site to the requesting site.
• Automatically sets up the Receive ILL notification e-mails permission in Access Levels for the Administrator and Library Administrator.
